19245366** Tell Us A little about yourself  :

Hello! My name is Bronwyn Eley, I’m an author (duh lol) with a huge passion for books! YA, fantasy, sci-fi, kids and crime are my favourite genres to read. I’m obsessed with my dog Ruby and love her more than life itself. If anyone hurt her, I’d go John Wick on their ass. I have a strong fascination with everything medieval, which is one reason I love writing in the fantasy genre! I do a lot of sport but tend to undo said workout by eating lots of chocolate (it’s all about balance). I love nature, camping, hiking, getting out and seeing the world. Travel + me = meant to be.

thai-food**List three Facts about yourself that we wouldn’t read in your official Bio :

I’m deathly scared of Huntsman spiders. In another life, I’d have been a florist. Thai is my favourite food!

**What inspired you to start writing?

Hard to say because I’ve been writing since before I can remember! In primary school, one of my teachers told my parents that I was ‘too creative’ (not sure what that means). I wrote all throughout high school, university and beyond. In saying that, what inspired me to start writing with the goal of being published? I just realised one day that nothing made me happier than writing did and, while it was a long shot, I knew I had to try.

46218744._SY475_** Relic , Your New Release , Tell Us A little about it and What Inspired you to write this Story?

Relic is about a young blacksmith called Kaylan who is chosen to be the personal servant to Lord Rennard. This ‘reassignment’ is random and a death sentence, as Rennard possesses a dark and poisonous magic called a Relic that protects his bloodline but slowly poisons anyone else in proximity. It is the world’s worst lottery! Kaylan has no choice but to accept her new fate, knowing any resistance would mean certain suffering for her beloved family. Once Kaylan enters the castle, however, she becomes aware of – and involved in – a plot to destroy the Relics and their masters.  I don’t remember the ah-ha moment of inspiration but over the years I have been inspired by the Ring from Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, plus a few other books like Poison Study by Maria V Snyder!

**What was the most difficult issue you had to face while writing Relic ?

Making the characters as real as I possibly could. I didn’t want to create 2D characters that were predictable. I hope I did their complex and ‘real’ personalities justice in my book!

**If you had to describe Kaylan in three words, what would those three words be?

Loyal, stubborn, cautious.

** In Your Opinion , What is the most difficult part about writing ? Or being an Author ?

For me… I found it really hard to cut the word limit! Oops.

** When You are not writing , what do you like to do for fun ?

Travel, spend time with my dog Ruby, go to Medieval Faires!

**Three of your favorite authors :

Maria V Snyder, Jay Kristoff, Leigh Bardugo.

**Relic Sequel , What Would you like to share with your readers about ?

Staying clear of spoilers, I am SO excited about book two in The Relic Trilogy and I can’t wait for readers to get their hands on it. I’m introducing a few new characters who I absolutely adore and the stakes will continue to climb. Kaylan has a lot of new lessons to learn and she will be dealing with some heavy emotions and confronting new challenges.

Ahhh ! I’m so excited for the sequel , THANK YOU SO MUCH Author Bronwyn Eley For Your time and Interesting talk . Hope you have more and more success with your book Relic and Your future endeavors .

About the author :

Bronwyn joined the military right out of high school, where she learnt (among other things) to disassemble and reassemble a rifle blindfolded. After that she spent a lot of her time travelling around the world. Her favourite places (so far) are Scotland, Mongolia, Iceland and Ireland.

Bronwyn finally found her natural habitat when she landed her first job in the publishing industry. While she has always been a writer, it was only when surrounding herself with books that she realised her life’s dream was to become an author. Relic is her first novel.

Bronwyn lives in Sydney and spends her time eating chocolate, reading and practising her martial arts.
